RONIN's
philosophy is one of centralized approach to global research, utilizing
the latest in CATI technology, multi-lingual research staff and innovative
use of technology. Using this approach, RONIN has built an enviable
reputation for conducting large-scale research on behalf of some of
the world's leading research agencies.
In order to achieve
this centralized global perspective towards research, The RONIN Fieldwork
Department comprises 150 state-of-the-art CATI stations running RONIN's
own Results for Researchâ
CATI package. The unit runs 24 hours per day with
interviews being conducted
around the world, covering 44 countries and 22 languages.
To supplement
and support the fieldwork operation, we have comprehensive functions
covering:

Multi-lingual
interviewing: All RONIN interviewers speak English plus one additional
language. Each interviewer is fully trained and accredited on both
the techniques and skills of executive interviewing and the use
of CATI software.

Data
Processing: Our DP team programs all CATI and web scripts in
house and is also responsible for producing all tabulations
and data files. Our data output is hugely flexible, allowing
us to format data to any client specifications. Our CATI software
allows not only complex routing and quota management on any
project, but also utilizes a state-of-the-art sample management
system which facilitates accurate control of all data records.

Technology
Support: Along with the DP department, RONIN also has a team of
technology specialists who provide support all web studies and any
integrated applications that are implemented.

Translations:
We offer in-house translation services for non-technical questionnaires
covering most Western European languages, including the Scandinavian
countries. Native speakers of the target language carry out all
work and all translators are experienced and educated to degree
level. Translations are proof read and back translated in order
to check grammar and semantic accuracy. Wherever possible we ask
clients to check translations independently and we always highlight
any areas of concern. To supplement our in-house capability, we
work with external translation agencies who have the language and
technical expertise required for the study.

Project
Management: A team of experienced project management executives
controls each project from the initial costing, through set up and
briefings, day-by-day updates and provision of the final data. Unlike
many research agencies, clients are not dealing with a busy field
manager who handles clients in addition to running fieldwork. On
commissioning of each project, RONIN assigns an individual Project
Manager who acts as the sole point of contact for each project.
The Project Manager can advise on questionnaire design, sampling,
data processing and any individual country nuances for each project.
This central point of contact gives clients a single focal point
and frame of reference that saves time and effort leading to a smoother
overall field period.

Web
research: Using our in-house developed web software, Results
for the Netâ,
we have the flexibility to conduct surveys which have a familiar
research feel and which often work in tandem with more traditional
CATI-based surveys. Using a truly integrated Web/CATI software package,
combination projects are easily managed. Telephone recruitment to
a web-based self-completion survey has proved to be an extremely
productive and cost effective approach to research. The use of on-line
panels has also proved to be a major part of the web research work
that RONIN has conducted in the last 24 months. RONIN can both manage
recruitment of proprietary on-line panels from the International
Call Center, or field surveys to our existing international business/consumer
panels. RONIN currently has extensive panels of IT/business managers
and consumers.

Quality Control: RONIN is a member of ESOMAR, abides by the Code of Conduct of The British Market Research Association, and is a fully IQCS accredited company. RONIN's UK General Manager, Volker Balk, is a board member of IQCS, who has been instrumental in spearheading the drive for quality control throughout the Market Research Industry. RONIN takes great pride in representing itself as a flagship company for quality control and we are constantly driving home measures to guarantee that this continues.
